Founded in 2007, FIC’s overarching goal is to serve as a bridge that connects and fosters mutual understanding, promotes global goodwill, and builds cultural diplomacy through innovative education and cultural exchange programs.

Exchange Visitor Program Office Goals:
The goals of the Exchange Visitor Program Office at FIC are as follows:
Support international participants in successfully accomplishing their program and career goals.
Support international participants in maintaining their legal status while in the United States.
Support international participants to engage in cultural activities and events to nurture understanding of American values.
General Office Hours
With the exception of official holidays, the Exchange Visitor Program Office is open all year. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Advising Services
The Exchange Visitor Program Office provides information to foreign nationals about J1 program, immigration, financial, personal, and family matters, as well as issues such as cross-cultural adjustment. In addition, we provide workshops and classes that enhance the awareness and understanding of cross-cultural and international issues.
